What You Will Need to Follow this Tutorial
- 2×2 foot piece of plywood
- Pencil attached to a string
- Wood glue
- PVC pipe end cap with a flange
- Grip tape
1.Measure your plywood: Do this by drawing a line halfway through the length and through the height so you can determine its center.
2.Draw a circle on the plywood: Attach a pencil to a piece of string. Lightly nail the string to the line intersections. Use the pencil to draw a circle on the plywood by pulling the string and drawing all the way around the plywood. This is like an improvised version of using a compass with a pencil.
3.Cut the circle out: Use a jigsaw and carefully cut the circle out of the plywood. With a sandpaper, smoothen the edges of the circle. This is so you will avoid getting wounded or cut while you work with it.
4.Cut Out Two Circles on Your PVC End Cap: The two circles should be the same size. One of the PVC end caps will be inserted into the other end cap so it will be stronger and more durable.
5.Put It All Together: Glue around the edges of the PVC end caps and place it all together. Wait for it to dry and the screw it to your board (the circle plywood).
6.Secure Your PVC Pipe End Cap to the Plywood (also known as your board): Screw around the pipe into the flanges.
7.Use a grip tape to design your board: Put some tape on top of it to make the surface of your board slip-free. You can also put some tape on the edges of the board so you can avoid getting splinters.
